Addressing the Intersection of Multiple Health Concerns for Migrant Populations: Family Planning, STDs, HIV, Tuberculosis & Substance Abuse

June 11 & 12, 2010 in Fresno, California

Conference Objectives:

  • Describe how Family Planning, HIV, STDs, Tuberculosis, and Substance Abuse intersect and affect health outcomes of migrant clients.
  • Describe two models of care in the Central Valley that help service clients with multiple health concerns
  • List two resources that provide linkage to health care and improve access for clients with multiple issues.
  • Identify two ways to increase cultural proficiency when providing medical care
  • Describe challenges for migrant clients receiving health care services in the Central Valley.

Registration and Fees: Registration is FREE. All BRN/CMEs are free.
