Recorded Webinar: Integrating CLEAR into CRCS

Recorded Webinar:

Integrating CLEAR into CRCS

Originally presented on May 10, 2011

The CDC has identified CLEAR as a structured intervention that may be integrated into CRCS programs. This one hour webinar consists of three main parts: 1) an overview of Comprehensive Risk Counseling and Services (CRCS), 2) an overview of Choosing Life: Empowerment! Action! Results! (CLEAR), and 3) suggestions on how to integrate CLEAR into CRCS. CRCS is a client-centered public health strategy that provides intensive, ongoing, individualized HIV prevention counseling, support, and service brokerage. CLEAR is an evidence-based, health promotion intervention for males and females ages 16 and older living with HIV/AIDS or at high risk for HIV. CLEAR uses one-on-one cognitive-behavioral techniques to assist clients in changing their behaviors around issues related to sexual risk, substance use, treatment adherence, stigma, disclosure and health/self-care. In this webinar, we review important considerations in the integration process, such as core elements, eligibility requirements, and evaluation components.
