This two-day course will examine the impact of social determinants of health such as economic status, stigma, homophobia, racism and other social and political issues on HIV risk, prevalence and access to services. A model and continuum of approaches will be introduced to assist prevention and care providers with implementation strategies to address these concerns.  The goal of the training is to support improvements in health equity related to HIV in our communities, so that persons living with HIV or vulnerable to HIV, can make choices to live a long healthy life regardless of their living condition, income, sexual orientation or racial/ethnic background.
