A skills-based training focusing on the male and female genital exam. Participants engage in experiential training with male and female teaching assistants. Designed for clinicians who will be using these skills in their clinical practice. Must be taken in conjunction with a didactic course. In San Francisco. 8 a.m.-12 noon, in Long Beach 3:30 p.m.-5:30 p.m.  Due to the shorter course duration, there are 2 Credit hours for the Long Beach course.

CME fee: $15; Nursing Contact Hours are free.

Each enrollment application will be reviewed for appropriate qualifications for this training. Applicants will be notified by a CA PTC staff person as to their registration status.

Center for Health Training designates this educational activity for a maximum of 2 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits ™ for the 2-hour training, and 4 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits ^TM for the 4-hour training. Physicians should claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity. This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the Institute for Medical Quality and the California Medical Association’s CME Accreditation Standards (IMQ/CMA) through the Joint Sponsorship of the Center for Health Training (CHT) and the California STD/HIV Prevention Training Center. CHT is accredited by IMQ/CMA for issuing AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™ for physicians. The California STD/HIV Prevention Training Center is approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing, Provider Number CEP 14547 for 2.4 contact hours for the 2-hour training or 4.8 contact hours for the 4-hour training of Male & Female Genital Exam Skills.
