For practicing clinicians, 4-16 hours; students typically precept 1 to 2 days. Experience individually supervised clinical training covering all aspects of the STD clinic visit at an STD clinic in San Francisco, CA. Participants work one-on-one with clinic staff as they manage patients. A didactic course is required before the clinical preceptorship. Flexible scheduling is available; PLEASE CONTACT (510) 625-6043 FOR DETAILS. DATES TO BE ARRANGED ON AN INDIVIDUAL BASIS. THIS COURSE IS AVAILABLE THROUGHOUT THE YEAR. Course fee: $75/day; CME fee: $15 per 1/2 day, $30 per day. Free nursing contact hours. Scholarships are available for clinicians who meet specific criteria. Center for Health Training designates this educational activity for a maximum of 16 hours of AMA PRA Category 1 Credits ". Physicians should claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity. This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the Institute for Medical Quality and the California Medical Associations CME Accreditation Standards (IMQ/CMA) through the Joint Sponsorship of the Center for Health Training (CHT) and the California STD/HIV Prevention Training Center. CHT is accredited by IMQ/CMA for issuing AMA PRA Category 1 Credits" for physicians. The California STD/HIV Prevention Training Center is approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing, Provider Number CEP 14547 for 4.8 contact hours per 4-hour course segment, to a maximum of 19.2 contact hours for Clinical Preceptorship.
