Teaching Sexual Health Education: Risk Reduction of Bloodborne Pathogens by the California Department of Public Health, Office of STIs and HCV (1.5 hours)
This module identifies the California Healthy Youth Act requirements on teaching the risks of injection drug use and sharing needles. Participants who complete the training will be able to describe HIV, hepatitis B, hepatitis C, and behavioral data trends, as well as understand the relative risks of infection according to specific behaviors that can expose youth to bloodborne pathogens.
