Please join us for an informative and engaging one-day workshop, Patient-Centered Approach to Comprehensive Services, Applying a Status Neutral Approach to HIV Care and Prevention. Registrants will have the option of attending in-person or virtually.

This one-day workshop will explore the Status Neutral approach, which is a patient-centered framework for the provision of services that prioritizes high-quality care for everyone, regardless of individual’s HIV status. Embracing a status-neutral approach helps to reduce stigma and health disparities, fostering access to services. This framework, grounded in a one-door, whole-person approach, not only supports optimal health, but also contributes to ending the HIV epidemic.

The workshop will be presented in collaboration with New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene (NYC DOHMH), Denver Prevention Training Center (Denver PTC) and San Francisco Department of Public Health (SFDPH). The purpose of the workshop is to highlight the benefits and challenges of implementing patient-centered approaches in the delivery of status neutral and culturally affirming HIV services.

The sessions will be presented as follows:

Session 1:       Person Centered Approach to HIV Prevention: presented by SFDPH

Session 2:       Conversations Around Status Neutral: presented by NYC DOHMH

Session 3:       Introduction to Anti-Racist Clinical Care: presented by Denver PTC
